I started Dimple. because I have come across too many founders and leaders who can see the value of better inventory planning, but still assume hands‑on demand planning expertise is out of reach for their business.
It really isn't.
What I keep seeing.
What often happens instead is that inventory planning gets added to an existing role or part of the business. It can make sense at the time, but sooner rather than later this starts creating narrow planning outcomes that serve one area well while missing the bigger business objective.
In my view, the cost of that can quickly exceed the investment that was needed to prevent it.
After 20 years in retail and inventory, and especially with the rise of increasingly capable AI‑based forecasting tools, I see this happening more and more.
How I see demand planning.
I strongly believe that inventory planning should not be squeezed onto the plate of a single stakeholder that already has its own targets, pressures and priorities.
I see demand planning as a deeply analytical, impartial, business‑wide planning function - one that connects inputs, manages forecast automation, challenges assumptions, and supports better inventory decisions in line with long‑term business strategy.
Where my experience comes from.
- Demand planning, S&OP, merchandise planning, supply planning
- Trade partner relationships, tool implementation, data integrity, loss prevention
- Ecommerce, wholesale, multi‑warehouse, multi‑region and supplier‑led planning environments
This has shown me that the sources and solutions of inventory issues are often far less complex than they first appear.
I know where inventory planning breaks, where traditional merchandise- or supply‑led planning models create friction, and where businesses should connect inventory decisions back to the wider business goal.
What I bring to Dimple.
As a Senior Demand Planner, I have led and supported innovation projects inside businesses where existing capability no longer matched the complexity needed to scale and grow.
Through Dimple. I bring that experience and knowledge into businesses that need stronger planning capability, but without the complexity or headcount.
Dimple. makes demand planning simple.
